Services for Darden Student Clubs: Home

We work closely with the Career Development Center to support Darden students' job searches and would be happy to work with interested clubs as well. Below are just some of the ways we can partner with you:

• Develop presentations featuring general and industry- or function-specific strategies and sources for learning about industries and companies
• Add books related to job searching in particular functions and industries to our career books collection
• Create guides to researching companies your members are interested in or interviewing with - see current list of Quick Company Research guides below

Color printing

• Available on a limited basis
• Relatively small jobs only
• Not self serve - see any member of the library team for assistance
• Have a larger color print job? Email Darden Course Materials Management at dcmm@darden.virginia.edu with the document, the organization to be charged, number of copies, and whether they should be single- or double-sided. Specify that you'd like to pick up the finished job at the Office of Student Affairs.

Copying & Scanning

• Copy machine located behind the service desk
• Self serve - librarians are happy to assist with use of the machine

Faxing

• Self serve, though a code is needed to send faxes to non-UVA numbers
• Ask a member of the library team for assistance

Shredding

• Self serve

We also have office supplies including a paper cutter, scissors, rulers, and more available for use.

We are able to help student clubs set up and manage print and online subscriptions to newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals.  

The library does not cover the cost of club subscriptions, but there are advantages to working with us to set them up such as:

• The library sometimes has access to lower prices than the general public
  • We can obtain and provide you with a quote for comparison purposes
• We can assist with the transfer of access to and payment for the publication when club leadership changes

We are happy to take recommendations for books related to the focus of your club for inclusion in the Camp Library's collection.  Email us if there is a title you would like to see added.

Placing materials on reserve

As with textbooks for Darden classes, we are able to place books or other types of physical materials on reserve.  Contact Patsy Leonard to learn more.
