Search this database for news articles from US and international newspapers, business/trade journals, and newswire services. Use the "News Pages" tab to view current articles from the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, and other major news publications. Click on the "Companies/Markets" tab to find company profiles, data from 10-Ks, and quotes for stocks, funds, currencies, and indices.
Limit the results of your search while setting up your search and/or while you view results. You can specify date, industry, geographic region, and type of publication. You can also limit results to one or more specific publications.
ABI/INFORM Global offers the latest business and financial information for researchers at all levels. It allows users to research business conditions, management techniques, business trends, management practice and theory, corporate strategy and tactics, and competitive landscape.
Consider using CapIQ if you need current and historical market and financial data and/or want to screen for companies, deals, and persons. To use this off-site, you will need an account. Most accounts are already created with your Darden email address. You should have received a "Welcome," email from the vendor. Check your spam folder. Bloomberg Financial Markets (in Camp Library only)
Log on to a library Bloomberg terminal using your Darden username and password and then using the Bloomberg username and password posted near the machine. Use the HRND (go) command to view the Hedge Fund Home Page. Darden does not have access to the Hedge Fund Product, but you can view a list of approximately 1,500 funds ranked by 1 year performance and/or assets. The listing also provides ticker, manager name, fund style and management company. From the Hedge Fund homepage, you can also view latest issues of the Bloomberg Brief on Hedge Funds. The command HEDN (go) takes you to the latest news related to hedge funds.

Morningstar Direct (in Camp Library only)
Log on to a computer in the library Capital Markets Room and click open the Morningstar Direct software application. See a librarian if you need Darden's username and password. From the gray menu bar, click on "New" and select "Basic Search" and "Hedge Fund." Click on the "Morningstar Category" box and click on "Global HF" to view and select a fund style. You can also limit funds by country and inception date. Click on "Run Search" and "OK" to view results. Use the drop down menu after "View" to change the type of data you wish to view.
