Explore this site for data on the performance of private equity firms and funds. You can search for firms and funds by name or screen for funds by vintage year, fund type, geographic focus, manager location, industry focus, and fund size. In addition, you can create benchmarks for funds with select characteristics.

Consider using CapIQ if you need current and historical market and financial data and/or want to screen for companies, deals, and persons. Cap IQ is also a great source for earnings call transcripts, and company compariative analysis. 

Choose University of Virginia in the drop-down list under “If you have access” and login through NetBadge. Search here for statistics on 170 industries from over 50 countries. For a broader prospective, browse and view Statista dossiers, industry reports, market studies, outlook reports, surveys, and country reports.

You can search for a list of privately held companies by industry, geography, and other criteria. Click on the additional filters link for a list of options. Once you have generated a list they are downloadable.

Explore the Gartner database to learn more about trends and developments in information technology. Gartner's provides in depth research and market insight for the users and vendors of software, hardware, communications, and other technology used in business, education, and government. You will need to login using your the two-step login process with UVA Netbadge.

Must connect to Darden VPN. Search GlobalData Disruptor Technology Intelligence Centre for reports on disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital payment technology, etc. Includes case studies and profiles on specific companies. In addition, select the companies tab on the top menu to view a searchable database of companies, technologies, funding, and investors. Select the databases tab on the top menu to search the "Deals Landscape" database; news; and an "Influencers" database providing links to recent tweets and online articles.

Click on Find a Patent, this will open up the TotalPatent One Search. Here you can search by title, legal status, IPC, Assignees and more!

Search for patent analytics and then click on the patent analytics link in the search results, from here you can go to the patent dashboard to see publication trends, trending themes, top inventors and much more. You may also search for specific patents.

Patents are most easily found by searching for a particular company and then scrolling along the subheading menu and selecting patents. You can see a list of patents filed by that particular company as well as individual patents.
